Description This article from UN News Centre, reports on the General Assembly of the United Nations decision to ratify the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), on September 13th, 2007. At this time, four countries voted against the declaration including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. Canadian representative, John McNee is reported to have described the rights to FPIC as unduly restrictive.
